Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Test Developer to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) SAP S/4HANA implementation operating within an Agile SAFe environment. This role is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing test assets that validate SAP business processes, system integrations, configurations, security, data conversions, and end-to-end functionality.
The ideal candidate will work closely with government stakeholders, system integrators, functional and technical SMEs, and UAT teams to ensure system quality, traceability, and release readiness throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain, and execute test scenarios, test cases, scripts, procedures, and test data
Translate business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows into comprehensive test assets
Support functional, technical, configuration, security, Fiori, integration, negative, exploratory, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing activities
Execute test cases, document results, report defects, and maintain requirements traceability within the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
Analyze failed tests, participate in defect triage, develop corrective actions, and perform retesting and regression testing
Validate SAP system configurations, business processes, interfaces, integrations, and data conversions
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, reporting, and test evidence collection
Assist with release readiness assessments, entrance and exit criteria validation, and production deployment support
Collaborate with government stakeholders, system integrators, interface teams, security personnel, and the Government UAT Lead
Required Qualifications
3+ years of SAP testing, quality assurance, or test development experience
Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations or enhancements
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case development, defect management, and requirements traceability
Experience conducting integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing
Ability to analyze defects, identify root causes, and validate corrective actions
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
Experience working within Agile and/or SAFe environments
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Department of the Navy (DoN) or other DoD ERP modernization programs
Prior U.S. Navy experience or experience supporting DoD/Federal ERP, business systems, or financial and logistics processes
Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP security testing, and interface validation
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms
Understanding of SAP data migration and conversion testing
SAFe, Agile, or software testing certifications
